Bildhaus Logo Design



Bildhaus are an architectural visualization firm who strive to make high-quality renders at affordable prices for projects of all scales and scopes. The award-winning team wanted a logo that was representative of the work they do; elegant, straightforward, and technically excellent.

The custom wordmark was inspired by classical architectural forms and technical drawings. Columns and arched are some of the most iconic shapes in architecture and they were the starting point for the Bildhaus logo.

Bildhaus is also heavily inspired by the Bauhas tradition, both in the name and the practice, empoying a multidisciplinary approach to visualization and workflow. This further influenced the forms of the wordmark: shapes made primarily of circles, squares, and triangles and entirely lowercase letters. Including the minimal serifs was an intentional addition to stray from the source, as although Bildhaus draw a lot of inspiration from Bildhaus and the international style, their work is different and employs teachings from a wide range of architectural traditions.
